This book has all the things I adore: lovable characters, honest sexual escapades and complex emotions all with a humorous overlay. I loved Julia's journey of coming into her own as an adult and exploring her new found lesbian identity. Her relationship with her best friend was so accurate and reflective of a true best friend relationship. Davies does an incredible job of writing accurate sexual narratives that are both entertaining and truthful. Finally, the novel digs into complicated emotions that make you both angry and empathetic towards Julia which I believe is the true marking of a great lead character.
It took me no time at all to devour this book with Davies' writing style. It's fast-paced and so fiercely honest you can't put it down!
