Julia is a civil servant in London. She doesn’t hate her job, but she doesn’t love it either. She lives in an apartment with her old college roommate Alice and her boyfriend, Dave. Julie hasn’t dated in years so when she goes out one night and a meets a guy who asks for her number to take her out on a proper date, she is thrilled, but the date couldn’t have gone any worse.
After some serious contemplation, Julia decides to date women instead of men. She meets a wonderful lesbian who does want to date her, just give her welcome her to the other side. Julie soon meets Sam and falls in love with her. But Sam has comes with some issues and other girlfriends. Everyone tells Julia that Sam is abusive, but Julie is so in love she seems to look past all of that, until that fateful night.
Can Sam change her ways for Julie? Is their love that strong? Find out in this rather entertaining story. I laughed pretty hard at some of this, and then I cried with Julia at other parts. This book is kind of like a Bridget Jones story, if she really did decide try being a lesbian.
