The book follows Julia, a late 20s Londoner on her journey to accepting and discovering her new lesbian identity. How she delves in the community and her first sexual and romantic relationships with women. The book is heavy with BDSM & steamy scenes. I found the novel enjoyable and in learning more about Julia’s life & I could related to the relationship she had with Sam (manipulative, controlling, gas-lighting everything - YIKES) .
I enjoyed the small subplots, but overall I gave the novel 4 stars because I honestly wanted more to the story that DIDNT involve Sam. (Though that’s how abusive relationship work, right?) .
Overall, it was a good read with an interesting plot/concept and it’s always great to see f/f lead stories. .
