I'll be honest--that opening line completely turned me off to this. I'm not a fan of the "New Adult" movement that's basically younger smut for twenty-somethings.
But for the good of the First Impression, I kept reading, and that twist in the middle has me pretty much sold. This reminds me a bit of "When Katie Met Cassidy," which came out last year. Similarly focused on a girl exploring/discovering her sexuality, this could be a great new title on the market. I would love to read more and see how this story unfolds--will it be funny? serious? dramatic? deep? I can't wait to see!
