I know this book is for middle grades but it interested me right away. Nnamdi is struggling after his father, the police chief, has been killed. The setting is really richly described and I can picture the neighborhood so well. I love the magical element with the Ikenga and Nnamdi's superpowers. I'd love to see what happens next as Nnamdi learns to use his powers for good.
