For being a teen book, this book sounds awesome!! I would give it a read and I know my teen would love it!! She loves to read and finding a book that also tells a story of empowerment is a bonus giving teens that confidence boost! Even as a parent good stories can make you feel empowered and I like being able to read some things that my family will read as well, and we can all share in the experience. What is even cooler is the art of magic in the book and talking about having powers to have that fantasy aspect bring the story to life! The setting being in Nigeria gives it a nice culture shift from just being stateside for what a lot of teens may read, it has its own little adventure in so many ways!! The first look was really intriguing and hope to read the rest soon!
