I was first struck by the intricate descriptions in this book. The author really paints a picture and makes you feel as if you're beside Nnamdi and experiencing everything through his eyes and thinking through his head. I'm excited to see how Nnamdi, who seems to have dealt with so much at such a young age, continues to deal with the loss of his father, avenge his death and protect his community.
