I was so excited to hear about this book, and even more so when I learned a sample was offered here. I'm totally biased in favor of this book for two reasons: (1) As a middle school teacher, I'm always excited for a new MG novel coming out, and (2) I love the fantasy genre at all every level and variation it comes in.
I haven't read an MG fantasy book this immersive in a long time, and I'm sold by the strong narrative voice the first pages here has to offer. I'm already anticipating how the story's events will unfold, and how our cast will change as a result of it. Can't wait to see this succeed!
