As a teacher, I look for books that are engaging from the very beginning. This fits that description. From the very first line, this book draws you in. The writing style is emotional and descriptive, without being bogged down by too many adjectives or long sentences of description. This is especially helpful for young readers who need to be engaged. However, while this is a young adult or children's book, I thoroughly believe that adults would be drawn in as well. I can't wait to read this book and put it on my classroom shelves!
