I was immediately drawn in by the cover of this book. It's bold and interesting and makes me want to know more about the book. This book seems to cover a lot of tough topics but also includes magic and adventure, which seems like the perfect way to help middle grade kids grapple with grief and other topics. I'm an adult with no kids so I don't know a ton about the middle grade book market, but this seems different from what I've seen on bookstore shelves. I could see myself gifting a book like this to my younger cousin.
