The cover for Ikenga is interesting. It feels very symbolic, like this young man has this dark monster hovering behind or maybe it’s a powerful force ready to back him up! I liked it and think it shows what age group it will be good for. The first look is well written and makes it seem like Ikenga will be an empowering and emotional story. Do I think it’s the story for me? Not exactly, but I do think this will appeal to middle graders who enjoy super hero’s, mythical, or supernatural stories!
