If You Could See the Sun by Ann Liang was such a good book. I loved it more than I even thought I would. There were parts where I literally laughed out loud. I feel like Alice was so relatable and I loved seeing her growth throughout the book. As I was reading it, I told my 9 year old daughter that I think she will enjoy reading it when she it a bit older. I feel like I cannot rave about this book enough. To me, it did not read as YA, so if YA is not your normal genre, do yourself a favor and pick up this book.

Alice Sun finds out her parents can no longer cover her tuition at international school Airington and between that and the stress of competition to be better than Henry Li, Alice suddenly turns invisible. She has no one to turn to but her academic rival, Henry, and her roommate Chanel who is the daughter of a famous model.
With their help, she creates an app where her classmates can anonymously hire her to spy on her classmates friends and families. However, the tasks get more difficult and have Alice questioning whether the money is worth setting aside her integrity.
