I really enjoyed reading If You Could See the Sun by Ann Liang! This book was very entertaining and a lot of fun! The writing was great and the characters, Alice and Henry, were very likable! First I loved the academic rivals to lovers trope. This is actually the first book I've read so far with that trope, and it got me hooked. Alice is the also the only student on scholarship at her international boarding school. When Alice discovers she can become invisible, she uses her power to spy on her classmates. This becomes a valuable power when her parents can no longer afford to pay the tuition for her school. This book was a great, fast read with magical realism, drama, and scandal. The character development was amazing and I also liked social commentary on being at an elite boarding school in Beijing. I would recommend this book to fans of ya romance and the enemies to lovers trope.
