This book is easily one of my favourite YA books of all time. I am blown away by the fact that this is Ann Liang's debut novel. She is off to a promising start.

If you love academic rivals to lovers, this book is perfect for you. I also love the added element of fantasy. It is gairly simple and easy to follow/read.

If You Could See The Sun centered around Alice and her struggles to maneuver her new-found quirk, which makes her disappear at random times. There were numerous times I felt called out in this book. Exhibit A; how Alice perceives herself through her academic merit only. Exhibit B, her struggling parents trying to make ends meet. They all hit a bit too close to home. Although this book might be labelled as a cute "rom-com", the book brought up a lot of important discourses that is currently relevant in today's times. It did not go into heavy details but one can read in between the lines.

Henry was such a sweet boy and I loved him from the very beginning. He was whipped since day one and I was here for the whole "I don't hate you. I never hated you" revelation. You want golden retriever boyfriend? Henry is it.

Overall, I'm glad to have taken my time to devour this book because it was worth all my time. Ann Liang has piqued my interest and I will be looking forward to her future releases!
