Unforgettable, Hilarious, but Memorable Story

I have been intrigued ever since I read the summary of this novel. As an educator who teaches first-year students, I am always looking for books that will appeal to them for their English classes to expose them to diverse authors and Ann Liang's debut YA novel would be a lovely addition to the Spring semester as I will be teaching an American literature course. I love that there is drama, magical realism, and exploration of immigrant issues in this book! I love how clever the main character is and can't wait to see how this novel unfolds!
