Between the unique premise and the beautiful cover, I couldn’t wait to dive in. The first few pages of this book did not disappoint. The main characters’ parents are self-centered and cold, and they made me root for poor Alice instantly. I can’t wait to see how she’ll overcome the obstacles in front of her, or the lessons she’ll learn along the way.
