A brilliant start that leaves me wanting more!

The cover is absolutely stunning! I love the artistry of it and the striking, bright colors are what initially drew my interest. This first chapter sets the story up really well; it grounds the reader into Alice's family structure and school experience. We get insight into her struggles and motivations, as well as an understanding of the role that her cultural background plays in her life. It ends on a major cliffhanger, leaving me dying to know more! I'm excited to read the rest of this book.
