"For fans of We Are the Brennans"...that's me. I'm the fan. I love a big messy dysfunctional family. We can talk about you, and we can talk about us, but you can't talk about us.

If We're Being Honest has a whole slew of characters. Like a lot. Multiple points of view, which just so happens to be one of my favorite elements in a book. On the other hand, I would say the chapters are a bit on the long side.

When the family patriarch passes away it doesn't take very long at all for the long hidden secrets of the Williams family to start seeping out.

Having grown up in the Deep South, this books feels super realistic and like we are getting an intimate peek into the small town family next door as opposed to a work of fiction.

I enjoyed that fact that although each character was telling their own story it was all still centered around the grandma and grandpa, as they each saw them.
