I really wish there was a character list in this book. Within the first twenty pages I met at least fourteen characters. I made up my own list. It took me about twenty-five pages to really get into the story once I figured out how everyone was connected. The story starts off at a funeral, and a decades long shocking, secret is announced by the drunken friend of the deceased. No one can believe it. I really enjoyed getting to know each person in the Williams family as well as their neighbors the Bells. There was more than one secret in the story, which made it even more interesting. With all the characters in the story, it is pretty intricate and weaves around most everyone. I felt like there wasn’t much closure at the end concerning the drunken friend. I expected more interaction with him even throughout the story. I did enjoy reading this story and look forward to more by this author.
