So I wanted this book because the synopsis seemed promising and really interesting, there are many things I could relate to my own life and family and so I thought it would be a good read. When I got the book I started reading it and got to page 90 and then I dropped the book just because for me personally the writing style is really wordy and it got confusing at times. I didn’t know who was talking or how people were related to one another, there was also a lot of character dump in the beginning which made it hard for me to keep up and I kept forgetting who they were when they were mentioned again. The actual plot seems okay I would say some seem predictable but I can’t say for certain because I didn’t finish the book. My favorite character from what I’ve read was JJ and she’s on in the family by marriage which I find funny. I like the one character that’s not biological related to anyone. This book also has a lot about religion which I also could relate to myself and was interesting to read about. I might give this book another chance but right now it’s not that appealing for me to finish.
