There's always a little drama at a funeral, right?

I am definitely interested. Aside from the "news" that Fred shares about Gerry at the funeral, there's nothing really happening in these few pages. We're kind of just getting to know our main characters and they are written in a way that's relatable. Like we all know at least one of these people in our life, and that's where I found the book to be interesting. I would like to know what happens and see what other secrets the family is keeping from each other.
The author has way of making their audience CRINGE. I felt secondhand embarrassment for the characters during some moments.
