What a way to open a novel! Drama at a funeral in a small town, not to mention drama in the lives of each of the Williams family members, provides an intriguing start to the story. I couldn't help but be reminded of my own small Southern hometown and large extended family while reading this First Look... although we don't have the same kind of drama (thank goodness!), I can relate to the complicated relationships as well as the closeness of siblings and cousins. I think I would enjoy reading more and getting to know all the characters and how their lives are entwined. I liked the bright colors of the cover and the bold print of the title. Definitely a book I will be looking forward to reading!
