This hooked me right from the start and had me laughing at the family dramas and stark look into the motives of the characters. This also brought serious, poignant moments to life and surprised me in the best ways. I wasn't sure I'd be able to keep all the characters separate in my mind when I started reading, but as their personalities emerged, I found myself getting to know each individual.
