The cover gives a comforting familiarity in depicting modern suburbia. I thought the addition of the family tree was very fun and nice to have at the beginning of the book, should one need to reference it. The book starts by calling a funeral a "shit-show", and while it may weed out some readers I thought it was hilarious. You haven't even met these characters yet, and it feels like you are being told someone's family drama and can't wait to hear what comes next. This was an easy to read good experience, and I could definitely see myself finishing this book through to the end.
