I had to grab a copy of this book because my grandfather's name was Gerry and you almost never see that name. It wasn't Gerald, which it sounds like this guy's name was, but still. It's also interesting because he was such a simple man, there wasn't even a funeral to eulogize him at. So we didn't have to worry about what happened in the book's opener!
