I thought the cover was gorgeous, but unfortunately, that was the only thing I really liked about this sample. I’ve read a few adult novels about this premise, and they never quite worked for me, but I thought it might be good in YA instead (though I was skeptical about a hs theater “legend”). Unfortunately, I really didn’t like the writing and couldn’t finish the sample.
