Happy Pub Day to I Like Me Better by Robby Weber which is the fun YA read you need to add to your Summer TBR! Filled with high school drama (even when school isn't in session) and wanting to make an impact, this queer contemporary romance, which comes out on May 2nd, is sure to be a smash hit!

While I was frustrated with Zack’s character in the beginning, he definitely becomes more relatable as the book goes on. His character development is really fun to read about and this book shows that life isn’t about being popular or being the best, it’s about the friendships and relationships you build along the way to trying to reach your goals and dreams.

This cast of characters was super fun to read about (especially Zack and Chip’s budding romance!) and added dynamic to this book. While Zack ended up being a good main character, I think I liked the side characters even more!

Additionally, the underlying themes of environmental awareness were very relevant to society right now and I think will resonate with readers, especially young ones looking to make a difference. Plus, having this story set in the summer (with a lot of Taylor Swift and Shakespeare references) gave me all of the warm weather vibes and made this YA novel even more enjoyable.

If you like YA novels that feature LGBTQ+ romance, soccer, environmental issues, or summertime shenanigans, then this is the book for you!
