I enjoyed “I Like Me Better” by Robby Weber. It was a warm summer day on the beach in book form. It had a simple and easy writing style, making it the perfect quick read. It was also incredibly wholesome, and toothachingly cute. It is the perfect kind of romance to include in my classroom library. Not to mention the LGBTQ+ representation in the novel is of high caliber. It is a breath of fresh air to get a novel about two boys in love and those boys just being happy, no homophobia or social battle to fight. The only thing I would change about this book is that I would go back and read it in the summer instead of the dead of winter. The book’s setting is perfect; summer fun and warm nights. The author does a brilliant job of making this summer-setted novel atmospheric and the perfect beach read. I cannot wait to recommend this novel to those who love wholesome relationships and sitcoms, this book is perfect for them.
