While many teen gay romance novels have come out in the last few years, this one was a refreshing new one. I love how it centered on an athlete who didn't have it all together like so many of the "jocks" in romance novels do and a sweet marine biologist. I also enjoyed that both characters broke from the stereotypes of jock and nerd to seem like actual characters.
I don't have many complaints about this book. I do think there are too many F-words. I teach high school, so I have to be very cautious of this when bringing books into my classroom. Other curse words are much more accepted by parents and students alike.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute romance with fascinating and deep characters. While the writing style isn't anything special, the story line and characters are well worth the read. I hope you get to experience this book too.
