I had such high hopes for “I Like Me Better” after seeing the flawless cover art, but I was met with disappointment after reading the First Look. What I read was not the queer, summer romance I was anticipating. Having read only 31 pages of this story, it is certainly possible this young adult novel could still turn out to be everything I hoped for. However, what I read in the First Look wasn’t enough to capture my attention and make me want to read on. What a bummer!
