This first look really just did not pull me in. I think it was trying to explain too much for the audience with the dialogue, rather than having it happen more organically, and it just wasn't working for me. It also felt like it was really aimed for younger YA readers than older ones. I'm sure it will appeal to younger YA readers and certainly fans of queer romance. It might have just been off to a rough start for me because the synopsis really does seem adorable. I think the cover is really cute, and I wouldn't read more to see what happens next.
