‘I Have Lost My Way’ really shocked me, I was not expecting to love this novel as much as I did. It’s been quite some time since I’ve loved a Gayle Forman novel, I have read every single one and the last one I loved wholeheartedly was ‘Where She Went’, I did not think it was possible to enjoy and be effected by one of her novels again. This novel brought me to tears in both a sad and wonderful way. I think fans of her earlier works but are afraid her writing hasn’t evolved with time, don’t be her writing has grown and there are far less potentially “cringe-y” lines. The story is nothing short of beautiful and sad, melancholy if you will. Check ‘I Have Lost My Way’ if you enjoy all of these things.
