I definitely have positive feelings about this book and respect for Forman’s work, but this wasn’t my favorite of her books. I read it in a day and it has a LOT going for it. Compelling and unique characters with very different backgrounds, some intrigue and some drama. I definitely think it will appeal to many YA fans and fans of Forman’s other work, but I was definitely left wanting MORE. With the 3 main characters and their rich stories, this book could have either been triple the length or expanded into a trilogy......so while I liked the story and all, it just wasn’t quite enough for me as a reader. I do think sales will be strong though and many fans will be happy, so I do recommend it for teen collections.
