Gayle, you did it again. I don't think Gayle has ever ceased to amaze me. These characters (as always) were so deep and layered. I just wanted to pull back all of them and find out the inner workings of their soul, you know?? I absolutely devoured this. Freya has quickly become one of my favorite book characters and I am so proud to say that. The character development made my heart so happy, not only for Freya, but also Harun and Nathaniel. Their friendship is so beautiful and heart-wrenching due to them throwing their own struggles out of the (metaphorical) window in order to focus on one another and just be there for each other.
Ok, as with all of my reviews, now we have to talk about cosmetics. This book is gorgeous. The pastels and the simplicity of the smudges and the placement of each word... UGHH its so perfect. Also, the "O" being a contrast to the other letters and the same color as the background. Man, I want to give this designer a hug :)
