This novel is set during one day in New York City, starting when the three main teen characters meet for the first time in Central Park. The narration alternates between each character, filling us in on the events of the present day, as well as the background of each character. All three characters are different, and each is dealing with their own struggle to please their families and navigate the world, while still trying to figure out who they are.
The story just radiates warmth, and reading it made me feel like I was being hugged. I think any teen feeling lonely or like they don't belong would love this book. It deals with love, loss, and most importantly, hope. It's so hopeful, but avoids being corny and is very well written.
