The first paragraph drew me in, as we are introduced to Freya, a singer who has lost her voice, and possibly her "way" in general. She's being shuttled to a fancy doctor on the Upper East Side, and it seems that she's under a lot of pressure from the people around her. New York City is an awesome setting for young adult books, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this one. Is Freya going to get a chance to break free of the pressure and explore who she wants to be for herself? I can't wait to find out.
