"I have lost my way." Such a simple phrase, and the title of the book, none the less. However, even in the first few chapters, the author quickly conveys the power, the fear, the helplessness that these small words are playing in our narrator's mindset. The story is interesting enough (why has she lost her voice so suddenly?), but what really hit home was the clarity of the narrator. I was immediately drawn into her tale, and quickly read through the entire preview portion!
