I absolutely loved this slow burn, eerie, beautiful book. I dont know why horror and ballet always somehow go so perfectly together but they do. The perfection and beauty in ballet contrast to the bloody messy horror will always work so well and they also cross over in so many ways. This book gelt like a young adult Black Swan meets Suspiria.
Laure is an amazing and engaging lead who I just could wait to read and explore. The ten soon Laure had within herself was just so engaging to read. Laure has ambition and she learns the horrors that present themselves when she has to look into that ambition and face it. She has to learn how far she will go to be what she believes she can be. She has to fight both the god killer and the beast within that may be the same thing.
