I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me by Jamison Shea is such a deliciously fun, dark, brutal tale of unapologetic female want in the best way. I absolutely loved it and thought it was a fun an thought-provoking read in equal measures. Part demonic possession, part murder mystery, and part exploration into the mildly effed up world of ballet. It's fascinating to learn about a world entirely different than my own, and especially when it's one I have no interest in experiencing for myself! It's brutal and cutthroat. And I would be entirely inept at navigating it. On top of a really cool summary and being a really cool read, the cover (and title) are a true work of art that blow my mind. It's eye catching and, while the colors are subdued, they are still engaging and draw the eye straight to the main character's face floating in the river of blood. It's so cool and simple which makes it so brilliant.
