I LOVED THIS BOOK! The atmosphere was amazing I still can remember some of the images of the stage and the river that were described in a great manner. The author really draws us into the story to the point where we can see our protagonist changing her views and moral and the ways she acts because of the stress the possession and horrors of the river.
I really enjoyed the entire ballet scene here. I think the added layers of professionalism and strictness in the ballet industry was felt through the writing and it just adds so much to our characters vindictive drive for perfection and to be better then the others and to prove to others but mostly herself just how capable she is of being the best.
All the scenes of our protagonist entering this other world filled with horrors and possessions was so captivating while I read the book last year I can still imagine the cave and the entrance to the realm and even the horrors of the plot that left my jaw on the floor. I remember flying through this novel and thinking it’s one of the best thrillers I’ve read!
