Just wow. This book was exactly as dark and messed up as I was hoping it would be, and I'm pleased to say it also avoided the two things that most often occur in ballet books that I absolutely hate (eating disorders and weird sex stuff). It also got me thinking about (as someone who did ballet for 12 years) how ballet can be a form of self-harm, and why that is not one of the things that often happen in ballet books that I hate. But yeah, really loved Laure and the rest of these characters. I definitely am looking forward to that next book, especially if it takes place in the city the epilogue is set in.

I also loved the writing style! This book is very intense, and I think the writing style suited it. Jamison Shea is a talented author, and I look forward to reading whatever they write next, both in the world of I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me and outside of that world.
