Thank you Fierce Reads for blessing my shelves and imagination.

Pulled in right from the start but became anticlimactic along the way. The in depth description of the catacombs seemed insignificant. I was devouring this cut throat whatever it takes to make it to the top of the Parisian Ballet scene. Then once the mysteries were solved the storyline dragged and became murky. Especially when the MC determined her only frenemy was just as corruptible as she is.

Recommending this book to others is difficult and really depends on my mood at that moment. On the one hand you know what is going to happen from the beginning but finding out how we get there is what is intriguing but only to a point. This will not sustain your interest to the last page of the book. However, it appears a sequel might be in the works so I will let you decide if turning the pages is worth the risk.
