It's not often you think of ballerinas as bloodthirsty villains, but in this case, Laurie fits the bill. It's atmospheric in the writing style and elegant which is weirdly a juxtaposition for a horror book.
The cover art is beautiful, I do love it when the cover actually matches up with the story, and this one totally does. Big props to the artist and the publisher for nailing it , this one glows. Over all the story is a twisted tale of selling your soul to Evil, all while wearing a tutu and point shoes. It's the kind of book that's got something for everyone. This book should appeal to an array of readers. It's got a little bit of everything: snarky and broody characters, fantasy bits, a ton of blood, spooky stuff, monsters, and creepy buildings with their own secrets. If you are looking for a Young Adult macabre storyline then this is the book for you.
