Right from the cover I could tell this wasn’t going to be for me as I’m not typically into fantasy/horror. After reading the synopsis, I loved the idea of the setting - a Paris Ballet Academy. From the Intro in the First look, it is unclear whether this is a story grounded in reality with underworld metaphors or if the book actually takes place in that world. I do think the cover fits with the story though.
