I was drawn to this book at first because of the eye-popping cover. I can just tell there will be some bloody horror to come. The brief introduction after the author's note is a great addition. It sucked me in and had me craving more of the story. I love that Laure is fighting to be noticed in the prestigious ballet while she seems to be the only dancer, besides the star Josephine, who is not privileged. This already sets up a great division between Laure and her classmates. The juxtaposition of the beauty of ballet and the potential gore of horror has me craving to read this book.
