Awesome atmosphere and characters

I love the spooky opening, introducing the "beast" in the story, and I love Laure as a character so far. This book has a mix of my favorite elements in storytelling, namely ballet and a monster one can strike a deal with. The author's writing is also strong, from her descriptions of ballet dancing to the way the girls talk and interact with one another. Awesome so far.

The cover is perfect; so stunning and creepy.
