The opening of this book felt very much like clips of 30 Rock. Lots of characters with big personalities, behind the scenes at a late night show. The excerpt feels like a bubbly, of-the-moment story, but there a few flashes of a deeper story hinted at by the book's description. This seems like it will be a fun read!
