True to the title, this does seem to be funny. Heck, the very first line has humor in it. Like most people, I do like to have myself a good laugh, so I enjoyed this excerpt. It is well-written and filled with dialogue as opposed to boring, long internal monologues (bleh). And as a city girl, I also loved the New York setting.
