Margaret had just accepted her boyfriend Chip's proposal when the plane Chip was flying plummets to the runway in a crash landing. Chip walks away more or less unscathed but Margaret is quickly taken to the hospital, having suffered a spinal cord injury and severe burns from the crash. Ridden with guilt, Chip is MIA, and Margaret is left to realize the extent of her injuries alone. She will likely never walk again.

Man I felt for Margaret as she navigated the traumatic changes in her life, physically and emotionally. Between her dud of a fiance and family drama, she found strength within herself and faced her new life along with all new challenges with determination. I loved that she developed an attitude that pays it forward to others who need support in similar circumstances. "When you don't know what to do for yourself, do something for somebody else." and "It's the trying that heals you. That's all you have to do. Just try."

"You have to live the life you have, you have to find inspiration in the struggle and pull joy out of the hardship."

I thought this book was well written, but predictable. However, it was inspiring and heart warming
