This story is action packed from the beginning with lots of unexpected twists, but it is really about loss and starting over and beating odds and all the themes we all need in our daily lives. The main character is lovable and really someone the reader wants to root for even when she has her bad days.
The storyline of losing the life she expects: the marriage and job she is on the edge of beginning, I loved the way the author helped her work through struggles with those allegedly on her side. Her mother is extremely relatable both from the parent and child perspective. I can understand completely how as a mother how she believes she is helping and likewise as a daughter how much of a challenge her mother's help can be. Likewise storylines of dealing with other family members and friends through the lens of this major life left turn are woven in. It is true what they say about seeing who is there when times are tough and that is woven into this story as well.
I believe this is a book relatable for all ages of women and I highly recommend it!
